Approved medicine. The FDA label for Ozempic states it is indicated alongside diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes and to reduce cardiovascular risk in defined groups; Rybelsus is the oral tablet form. Separate labels cover weight management.

What Semaglutide is

Semaglutide is a synthetic analogue of GLP-1, a hormone released by the gut after eating. Unlike most peptides on this site, it is an approved prescription medicine in all three launch countries, and its trial programme is among the largest in modern medicine.
