BPC157 drives angiogenesis through FBXO22-dependent stabilization of BACH1
Zhang J, Liu M, Ou H, et al. (2026). Cell Communication and Signaling.
Summary
A laboratory study of how BPC 157 may promote blood vessel growth. The authors report that BPC 157 binds the protein FBXO22 through a proline at position 3, which reduces breakdown of the transcription factor BACH1, and that higher BACH1 was linked to more proliferation and tube formation in endothelial cells. This is a proposed mechanism in cells. No competing interests were declared.
